What is public, and what is licensed¶
Public, today, at fixed addresses. The five receipts, and the second editions of two of them; the anchors, the index and both public keys; the digests files; the offline anchor verifier; these pages. Record is behind the Desk password until it is fully vetted.
Public by request. The kits, by a link that lasts about six hours and allows three downloads, anchored by name. Words, by password from us. Membership, by a grant the Foundation signs by hand.
Not public. The source code of the reading server and of Desk. The census tools' repository, until its license is named. The four text stores.
The license. No source repository carries a license file today. Write to hello@thecommons.ooo about any use. These pages say no more about terms than that.
The texts. King Lear is the Folger Shakespeare edition, CC BY-NC 3.0, segmented into speeches, words unaltered. The Adams and Jefferson letters are from Founders Online, National Archives, public domain. The climate migration documents each name their source where they gave one. The Texas bill is public record, six files frozen with their SHA-256 from the Legislature's own site.
The Commons. The Commons Cooperative Company, a Colorado cooperative public benefit corporation, PO Box 35, Rockport, Massachusetts 01966. hello@thecommons.ooo.
